I created Ludus because I believe strength training has the power to transform every area of life.
My own journey has always been about testing what is possible. From competing in Strongman at a national level to CrossFit on the international stage, I have challenged myself across multiple disciplines.
My proudest achievement remains climbing Mt. Snowdon with a 100kg barbell on my back, raising vital awareness and funds for the Ted Senior Foundation. Alongside that, I have built Ludus from a shipping container into the thriving community it is today while navigating my own battles with mental health.
What I have discovered is that true strength is not only physical. It is the ability to master your mind, uphold your standards, and lead by example.
That is why Ludus exists: to give people that same opportunity. To prove that no matter your age, background, or starting point, you can become stronger, leaner, more resilient, and more confident than you ever thought possible.
My mission is simple. To help people unlock that version of themselves and to build a community where ordinary people achieve extraordinary things every single day.
I’m Corey Beer, a Level 3 Personal Trainer and Level 4 Strength & Conditioning Coach. My passion lies in helping people build strength, shape their physique, and, most importantly, feel confident in their own skin.
I first stepped into strength training for myself at 16 — I wanted to feel happier, healthier, and more confident. Over time, I realised the impact it had on my life went far beyond physical changes. It gave me purpose, discipline, and a stronger mindset. Now, I coach to help others experience that same transformation, whatever their starting point.
My coaching style is supportive but challenging. I’ll push you past what you think is possible, but I’ll also make sure you enjoy the process. Training should be about progress, not perfection — and I believe the most powerful competition you’ll ever have is with the person you were yesterday.
Outside the gym, you’ll probably find me staying active or enjoying time with friends and family.

After a long battle with my health physically and mentally, training and sport became my therapy. I very quickly discovered my passion to help people use training and sport for the same reasons. I hugely believe that using it to challenge adversity and instilling that mindset into everyone I coach is why I’m here today.

Ethan's Story
I always loved pushing my body to the limits when training and competing, but I never had access to a qualified S&C coach. This led to injuries and missing out on life-changing opportunities. Overcoming these injuries with the help of qualified professionals made me want to coach others so they never have to go through similar experiences.

Why I Coach / Personal Story
I’ve had my own battles with injury therefore had to learn how to rebuild to get back to sports I enjoy. I can relate to those who are in a position I was once in. I enjoy empowering people with the tools to improve that overall strength and see how this translates to their performance too. Also, as a parent I can understand the time pressures individuals are under balancing out their training needs with domestic responsibilities and feel it’s important to share practical strategies on making it all run harmoniously.
Personal Interests
When I’m not coaching, you’ll find me running trails, walking, with family or friends or with local running clubs. I like entertaining at home. I have a particular interest in middle eastern cooking and scandi garden games like Kubb. And in my quiet breaks you might find me brushing up on my Spanish.
